About Compassionate PAWS

 

                                                 The mission of Compassionate Paws, Inc. is to facilitate activities with                                                     animals and people, offering opportunities and providing experiences                                                        which demonstrate comfort, healing, presence, and joy in the context of                                                      the unique mystery of the human-companion animal bond.

​

                                               We visit health care settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, hospice patients, and assisted living homes. We visit schools and libraries to offer our “Read with Me” program which is a literacy program to enhance reading skills of young students. We also participate in community activities and volunteer at area colleges and Universities to provide welcoming of new students and stress relief during final exams. The presence of an animal can make a difference to someone’s day.

Compassionate Paws, Inc. is committed to honoring every level of volunteerism, gifts small and large, of every type and purpose. Our animal partners are our personal pets. Each of our Pet Partners has passed the strict screening and educational requirements established by Pet Partners.  We are always looking for good teams to join us.
